Thank you Gerald Grieve!
We had the recent pleasure of working with Gerald Grieve and his talented team on a large landscaping and building project that spanned both our front and backyards. From our first meeting to discuss logistics and our desired outcomes, it was clear to both my husband and I that we had found a true partner. Jerry took our thoughts and wish list and brought them to life with plans he integrated seamlessly with John Willmott, Architect's thoughtful plans for a front portico addition.
A key benefit from our decision to award both the building and landscaping contracts to Gerald Grieve Landscape Group was the coordinated oversight and project management. Jerry provisioned professional services front to back on the project- from the site preparation and excavation, stonework, masonry, landscaping and carpentry - including assisting with the finishing touches that complimented the overall design, like copper rain chains and stone address signage. Another benefit to this coordination was the ease with which we could shift and add features or scope to the overall project without derailing work in progress. The ability to exercise this flexibility added so much to the final product - thank you, Jerry for your patience and resourcefulness!
Jerry was onsite daily - marking progress and gathering feedback - his amiable nature and client focus brought us confidence in the final product - even when things were in the early stages of excavation and imagination was liberally applied.
A key thing we commented on often was the professionalism and pride of work that all the various teams brought to the project - we had great conversations with these dedicated team members and came to rely on their suggestions and feedback - they truly brought their A-game everyday! The thought they put into making the small tweaks that really personalized the work demonstrated their desire to do more than just get the job done - they wanted the "wow" - could a client ask for anything more?
Our project was the entertainment of the neighbourhood last summer - the friendly teams were happy to field questions from people passing by - and we continue to receive compliments, both from those who watched it progress and from others who are only happening upon it in it's fully realized state.
This summer, we look forward to idling away in our front courtyard and our backyard oasis.
Thank you, Gerald Grieve Landscape Group!
